A real JAW wedding · Carlton Towers, Yorkshire
Emmy & Andrew · 28 April 2025
From Canada to Carlton Towers.
The four words
Four words describing how the wedding had to feel. Every decision came back to them.
Emmy and Andrew live in Canada, but the wedding needed to bring their worlds together in northern England: Emmy's Greek heritage, Andrew's northern roots and the people they love most.
They wanted a castle-style venue close enough to Manchester, with accommodation for their guests and the chance to stay both the night before and the night of the wedding. Not a huge event. One beautiful place where everybody could settle in and properly be together.
The whole estate
Carlton Towers was never reduced to a single room. Emmy and Andrew had the estate, and the celebration moved naturally through three connected spaces.
The ceremony in the first. Dancing in the middle. Dinner in the third.
A whole house, made to feel intimate.
The venue search
When the couple are in Canada, somebody still has to walk the rooms.
Nick and Alex made the round trip to Carlton Towers and filmed a complete walk-through: bedrooms, ceremony spaces, guest flow and every detail that mattered.
Emmy and Andrew booked remotely. When they later visited in person, it was even better than the film had promised.
Castle character, northern location and rooms for their people.
Every space and movement filmed after a twelve-hour round trip.
Booked from Canada with complete confidence.
What they booked
A joined-up JAW team from planning through to the wedding day.
The floral story
Coral, peach, soft cream and fresh green foliage brought warmth into Carlton Towers' extraordinary interiors.
Large arrangements framed the aisle without overwhelming an intimate ceremony.
Planning without the financial admin
Emmy and Andrew paid a fixed monthly amount into the JAW client account. We handled the payments when they became due.
Venue instalments, deposits and final balances—managed through the same simple plan. No added fee. No calendar full of deadlines across a five-hour time difference.
The wedding morning
The bridal prep room was unusually quiet. Everyone was smiling, but the nerves were obvious and the whole room felt as though it was holding its breath.
Nick put on Björk's It's Oh So Quiet, started singing and pulled one of the bridesmaids into a dance. The room dissolved into laughter. The tension disappeared.

Meanwhile

Beer race. Piggybacks. No easing into it.
The ceremony
Fab Ceremonies led a warm, personal ceremony beneath Carlton Towers' chandeliers, surrounded by the couple's closest people.
Then came the smallest member of the wedding party, dressed in his own tuxedo and carrying the most important delivery of the day.

After the ceremony
The formal photographs were handled without taking over the reception, leaving the couple and their guests time to enjoy drinks and canapés outside.

The elegant one

The entrance to dinner
Once every guest was seated, the wedding party entered in a full dance-off. The groomsmen did not hold back. Neither did the bridal party.
By the time Emmy and Andrew arrived, the room was already roaring.

The evening
Cleopatra Band brought both sides of the celebration together.
Greek songs for Emmy's family. English party favourites everybody knew. Not two traditions taking turns, but everybody celebrating together.
Both sides. One dance floor.
The first dance
The scale of Carlton Towers never swallowed the intimacy. Fifty-five guests still felt close enough to see every expression and share every moment.
What JAW actually did
From a remote venue search to the last announcement, one team held the plan and the relationships around it.
Venue search, walk-through, supplier curation, timelines and honest advice.
One fixed monthly amount, with every balance handled when due.
Every supplier, room movement and guest-facing moment kept on track.
The full story captured from preparations to the dance floor.
A warm floral story and a calm, beautifully run wedding morning.
Nick on the microphone, keeping guests informed and the energy moving.

Four words delivered
