The brief
Fun.
Magical.

Seamless.
Four words. That was the brief—and we treated every one of them as a promise.
It's the most important question we ask during a first consultation: how should your wedding feel? Georgie and Callum wanted a destination wedding with sea views, fairy lights and character. A courtyard or cliff, perhaps a villa—but absolutely none of that modern, clinical-white nonsense.
We suggested Ios. It had the views, the energy and exactly the right amount of mischief. Then came the JAW recce: a couple of days on the island, three carefully chosen options and honest advice about which one would genuinely deliver. They chose the best one.
Day one · Bamboo Beach Bar
Welcome drinks. Sunset. Questionable bedtimes.
A little food, plenty of prosecco, proper cocktails and a beach-side sunset shoot. The wedding had officially started.
Because our photo and film team were there for the entire stay, the story began long before anyone reached the amphitheatre. It also meant Nick could indulge in a tiny bit of directing—spotting the girls' beautiful heels, sandals and perfectly polished toes and lining everyone up for a completely ridiculous feet photograph.
Later, plenty of the guests headed into Chora and carried on until the very early hours. They had a recovery day built in. It turned out to be an excellent piece of planning.
Meanwhile, the island had other ideas
Then the ferries stopped.
Strong winds. Cancelled sailings. An island-wide power cut. More cancellations on the day we arrived and again on welcome-day morning. With only a handful of ferries reaching Ios normally, it could have become chaos.
It didn't.
Guests were kept informed, plans were watched closely and everyone made it. A few drinks later, the whole thing was yesterday's problem—which is exactly where it belonged.
03/08/26 · The wedding day
The calm bit.
For everyone else.
While Georgie and the girls were with hair and make-up, and the boys were doing whatever boys do before a wedding, we were everywhere: checking suppliers, venues, flowers, sound, transport and timings—running around Ios in linen suits and 28-degree heat.
Dionysos Hotel looked after the couple and many of their guests brilliantly. My Ios Transfer moved the wedding party, guests, planners and photo and film team exactly where they needed to be. Familiar people, trusted suppliers and not a single logistical guessing game.
The amphitheatre
Beautiful words.
A flying veil.
Confetti everywhere.
Nick wrote and delivered the ceremony himself: personal, funny and emotional enough to produce plenty of tears. Then Georgie's veil flew off as she descended the amphitheatre steps.
She couldn't have cared less. The mark of a proper bride.
Ios Club
Fizz first.
Obviously.
The ceremony finished. The doors opened. The fizz tower got everything moving.
Ios Club—our favourite venue on the island—was ready. Drinks flowed, the food was superb and the whole celebration unfolded against the sea and sunset. Georgie's sisters delivered a beautiful speech that set off another round of tears from one very close family.

A very firm bum squeeze.
We were setting up one of those gloriously romantic photographs: Georgie sitting, Callum walking towards her, sunset behind them. Then their personalities took over. He leaned in. She grabbed his backside. Everyone lost it.
Honestly? It summed them—and the entire wedding—up perfectly.
Planned to the second
Ground fireworks.
Music up.
Couple in.
The opening bars of the first-dance song began as Georgie and Callum walked between the fireworks, down the steps and onto the dance floor. It looked effortless because every beat had already been planned.
The final day · Erego Beach Club
The 11am pool party that became a 1pm pool party.
Some of the guests had left Ios Club at 1am and carried on in Chora until four or five. The hangovers had earned themselves a schedule change.
It was quieter than expected, much more horizontal and fuelled by food, sunshine and a bit of hair of the dog. Guests gradually peeled away for their ferries back to Santorini. Four days finished exactly as they should: together, happy and in absolutely no hurry.
What JAW actually did
The lot.
Done properly.
They got the seamless wedding. We took care of what seamless requires.
The recce, venue search, trusted suppliers, budget control and every decision in between.
Airport, port and hotel transfers; wedding-day collections; supplier transport and guest movements across the island.
Every day broken down properly, so sixty people could simply turn up and enjoy it.
Nick and Alex arrived before the celebrations began, met every supplier and checked every venue.
One WhatsApp group for guests, the couple and the planners: timings, transfers, answers and calm reassurance.
Four days captured by JAW Photo & Film, five films to follow, a completely personal ceremony and Nick on the microphone.
