FAQs

Of course it's your choice…BUT if you're asking for proper advice, here's what we say. The 'normal' party lasts from around 7pm until midnight - or 5 hours. Bands tend to only want to play for 2 hours - either 2 x 1 hour sets or 3 x 40 minute sets. That means, you still need to have a proper DJ (not a band simply playing a playlist and calling it a ‘DJ service') to cover the other 3 hours if you want a busy dance floor all night. All that will cost a small fortune. So we tend to suggest a DJ over a band. That said, if you love live music, why not go for DJ/live - that's a DJ with a sax and/or bongos/percussion and/or vocals, etc. That'll generally come in much cheaper than a full band, whilst giving you a full 5 hours of high energy, banging party!

From arrival to ‘ready to play’ it takes no longer than 1 hour to setup.

We always advise couples to allow 90 minutes, and remember the last 15 mins or so they’ll want to do a full sound check. So when you’re planning, make sure that’s not going to disturb you!

All acts generally require a ‘green room’ to get changed in, and leave their cases, and kit. DJ’s and DJ + Live will want to have some drinks made available to them, whilst bands will invariably ask for a hot meal as well as drinks. Please factor that in to your budgets.

What Our Clients Say

What a party!

We used just about weddings to book our DJ, Sax, Photographer and Florist and wow did they deliver. The DJ and Sax duo really know how to get a party going. We had people on the dance floor until the early hours and everyone has commented on how fun the wedding was. These guys really are professionals in the game and made the whole process soooo easy. I would 100% recommend to any future brides and grooms!
